    Assigning topics to categories problem!!!

    Hi!

I have imported several old html help files. Now all files are under un-categorized. How can I assign more than one topic to a category? At the moment I'am using topic list, but I must click every topic to assign it to a category... Strg or Shift marking does'nt work! Please help!

    Thanks in advance.

You can use multi-select on the Project Explorer to move multiple topics to another category - click the first topic, hold shift and click the last topic and all the topics in between will be selected as well. Then just drag them all to the new category. You can also hold ctrl to select / deselect individual topics to add / remove from the selection.

    Hello Spooky,

One way you could do this is to use multiselect in the Project Explorer. With the CTRL button pressed select the Topics you would like in any particular Category, once they are all highlighted you can then drag and drop them on the required Category.

This is a feature that was introduced within the last six months so I would reccommend downloading the latest set up for HelpStudio and installing this.

As I say, this standard feature "CTRL or SHIFT drag&drop" didn't work. I use HelpStudio Lite. If you included it in the last six month, maybe you didn't included this feature in the lite version??? :-/
