Sad [:(] Problem with image size in booklets

    Hello,

I am inserting screenshots in my help file and I added a booklet. I noticed that the images in the booklet are larger than they actually are (like zoomed in). I checked the zoom view of Acrobat Reader and it is at 100% which means the image in the PDF file should be the same size as it is in Help Studio or Paint. But it is not. It looks around 30% larger.

I tried to reduce the size of the image in Help Studio (select and drag the corner) but the resulting PDF came out with the same large size as if I did nothing.

I am not able to find any place to control the image size. I tried PNG and BMP formats and got the same resutl.

    Any idea?

Re: Problem with image size in booklets

    Hi,

I hope you've gotten this issue resolved already, but in case you haven't: I had a similar problem at first, but resizing the images in my image editor (I use SnagIt) fixed the problem. (I use PNG format, by the way.) I haven't tried resizing images in HelpStudio, but maybe that's the problem.

I also started using the Replace with Thumbnail widget, so people using the .chm version of the help file can still access the larger versions of the images, and that works nicely. To use this widget, in Full Page Edit mode, right-click the image and select Replace with Thumbnail... Then in the compiled help file, there's a little magnifying glass with text that reads Click to enlarge, or if it's already enlarged, it says Click to shrink.

    Hope this helps!
